Celebrate California Wine Month with a masterclass marking the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Judgment of Paris – the moment that irrevocably shifted fine wine’s centre of gravity. What began as a blind tasting that shocked the wine world has since become a defining reference point: not just for what California can achieve, but for how it continues to evolve on its own terms.

Hosted by our very own Wine Development Manager, Constanza Cabello, this tasting is structured as a dialogue between eras. On one side, the Pioneer and Judgment of Paris lineage – wines that established California’s global credibility through ripeness, structure, and unapologetic ambition. On the other, Modern Day California – a contemporary lens shaped by site expression, precision farming, and a renewed focus on balance, restraint, and transparency of fruit.

Rather than nostalgia, this is a living comparison. How does Monte Bello speak today versus the wines that challenged Bordeaux 50 years ago?
