50 years ago, the Judgment of Paris changed the world of wine forever. California wines triumphed over French classics in a blind tasting – and a new era of boldness was born.
This August, we're celebrating the 50th Anniversary of that historic moment, alongside HKUST's 35th Anniversary, with an exclusive afternoon at HKUST Alumni Commons.
Join us for an intimate tasting and conversation with Anty Fung (DipWSET, Certified Sommelier, Certified Specialist of Wine), founder of mato and one of Hong Kong's most respected wine educators. She'll guide us through a curated selection of California Chardonnay and Pinot Noir – sharing stories of the Golden State's winemaking revolution and the spirit of boldness that defines California wines today.
This is more than a tasting. It's a celebration of legacy, boldness, and homecoming.

HKUST Alumni Wine Association (HKUSTAWA) was founded by a group of HKUST alumni wine enthusiasts. Our vision is to promote wine culture and responsible drinking among alumni and students.
